Share with me a vision, light dancing on a band of gold.
Pure white light dances up and down a band, with a warm brown in between the
highlights. Mesmerized, we all see something indefinable as the band turns in
the sun. I have found another source of this enchantment, the form of a woman.
The woman I speak of would not usually catch my eye for
long. She is not “my type.” She wore a band of gold in her hair that drew my
attention and I found that all analogies and appreciations that applied to the
band could be said of her as well. Her hair, that which would normally turn me
away, caught the light just as the gold. The purest brightness, swimming and
flashing, contrasted by that dark, almost coffee like golden brown blended hair
and gold as one. From her hair I noticed her thin, defined body. She is tanned
almost golden brown. Her feminine definition lent to subtle variations in the topography
of her partially exposed back and shoulders. The High points of her muscles and
shoulders gleam bright, the low creases emit a warm brown. As she maneuvered around
the lab I watched her, noticing that her movement was as fluid as the blending
of light over her skin. Her blue eyes are pronounced stars against this background,
a combination of colors an perfect as the sky.
Gold looks tacky on most people. Jewelry does not flatter
them to me, nor makeup. However, this woman is, as far as I am concerned, the
most perfect example of adornment. She makes the gold look much better.
